The given was the opportunity to define more ambitious design objectives:
-Read the composite warehouse as a whole;
-Reuse the existing awning as a starting point and turn them into the base for a design vocabulary;
-Articulation of the corner;
-Reduce the perception of the scale of the building by creating events along the new facade. Events:
-Continuous ribbon articulating and providing variations to the existing facade (270m);
-Addition of new programs (landscape, outdoor areas, entry...);
-Integration of the landscaped areas into the scheme. Use of graphics to:
-Facilitate readability, sense of orientation and safety;
-Embrace the industrial aesthetic of the context;
-Signaletic: Gilles Deleuze describes the prelinguistic movement-image in the cinema books as a "signaletic material" which "includes all kinds of modulation features, sensory (visual and sound), kinetic, intensive, affective, rhythmic, tonal and even verbal".Deleuze, Gilles.
